The Everywhere “Window of Information”: Diverse Application Landscape of LCD Screens
From smart watches on our wrists and ultra-large-screen TVs in living rooms, to touch panels on automotive center consoles and equipment monitoring terminals in factory workshops, liquid crystal displays (LCDs) are deeply embedded in every corner of modern life. As the most mature and widely adopted display technology available today, LCDs serve as the core interactive interface between humans and machines as well as humans and information, thanks to their advantages of ultra-thin design, low power consumption, high resolution and excellent cost performance. In 2024, the global display industry output value reached 219.8 billion US dollars, among which LCD technology accounted for 54% of the total output value, fully demonstrating its solid market position.
